- The fire station was then in the Triangle. When the Central Fire Station and the West Station were completed the Corporation responded very readily to our request to purchase suitable horses

1986 Bournemouth Fire Station open day programme
- When Bournemouth FB was formed in 1870, the first fire station was in the West (Corporation) Yard, Norwich Road, where appliance were stored in shed and base of water tower. Part of site still exists and being converted into terraced houses
- Closed 1936 and replaced by converted house in Westhill Road
